There will be a Community Garden work day on Saturday, March 13 beginning at 9:00 am. Laborers and carpenters are needed.

Activities include building a raised red box, filling the box with topsoil and landscape mix, and building/finishing the shed doors.

New Testament Teaching on Love

The greatest need in our lives is love. The only love that will fulfill our need is the Love of God. In this class you will learn, discuss, and become ready to share that love as described in the New Testament. This class will be taught by Dr. Frank Green, a counselor, seminary professor, and struggling human being. This is real life stuff that everyone needs. The class will meet on Sundays from 9:00 to 10:00 am beginning February 28 and ending May 23. Childcare is available. To sign up and/or make reservations for childcare, mark your Connection Card or call the church office at 848-5017.

Angel Food Ministries

With a heart to help others and a generous spirit, Joe and Linda Wingo founded Angel Food Ministries in 1994 to provide food for friends and neighbors who were struggling financially. Today the Angel Food program now is helping provide food relief to more than 500,000 families each month. This program is available to everyone, regardless of income level.

Our church is a host site for Angel Food Ministries. Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States.

Angel Food Ministries is a way to help your family or someone in need in this hard economic time. If you eat, you qualify. It’s a ministry that just makes sense. It is not a hand out, but a hand up to help you get back on your feet or just to help you save money on food. You can place an order in the lobby before or after church or online. Online orders are due on March 15 by midnight. Distribution day is March 20 from 9:00-11:00 am.

We believe the love of God, as we have come to experience that love, is for everyone. It is hard to believe because we all grow up with experiences of rejection and love with conditions. We don’t do it well all the time, but we do intend to build relationships based on what we experience in the love and grace of God. We desire to cooperate with God’s love as we follow Jesus and share in the work of healing and restoring our lives and our world.
We can love one another because God loves us.
